IACAP/AISB 2025 Conference- TU/e representing NAP4DIVE

From July 1–3, our ethics lead for the NAP4DIVE project , Philip Nickel (Eindhoven University of Technology), presented the ethical dimensions of our work at the Animals and AI Symposium, part of the IACAP/AISB 2025 Conference held at the University of Twente in Enschede, the Netherlands.

Philip had the opportunity to engage with our Ethics Board member, Bernice Bovenkerk, who co-organized the symposium alongside Leonie Bossert and Mark Ryan. It was a valuable moment of exchange on the intersection of AI, ethics, and non-human life.

Key takeaways of the Animals and AI Symposium:

🐭Humans should investigate AI’s ethical impacts on animals

🌍 AI could help us to understand animals better

🛡️AI could help to protect animals from human impacts, when responsibly applied

Let’s keep pushing the boundaries of responsible AI!
